Finally this course has come to an end not only for this course but all the courses for this semester. I fell so relieved because there are no more assignments and tasks need to be completed. As the time goes by, I can reflect that there are many things has happened during this course. There are bittersweet memories in completing the assignments and tasks with all of my friends. I have learnt lots from this course.
1. What I like about blogging
First of all, blogging is the place where we can express our thought, feeling and make reflection about anything. That is the main reason I like about blogging. In addition, through blogging, I can share my opinion and ideas with my friends. We can discuss about something that we do not know I also can get new useful information from my friends about new software or anything regarding this course. Indirectly, blogging also improve my communication skills as this is one of the medium to communicate with others. Since this is the first time that I used blogging. I think blogging is a good medium to express thought and ideas and share with others.
2. What I do not like about blogging
This is an educational blog, so it is quite formal. So, I can not express my true feelings that come from the bottom of my heart. I need to write educational reflections and thoughts. This limitation became something that is quite boring because there is no leisure in blogging.
3. What have they gained from blogging? Language skills, improved fluency, critical thinking, improved thought processes, technology skills etc.
Personally, I think I have gained lots through blogging. My language skill has little bit improved as I can practise my writing skill in order to reflect about everything that has been learnt in the class through this blog. In my opinion, I have develop my critical thinking a lot as I need to think critically before I can write my reflection after the lesson in the class. Then, sharing opinions and ideas with friends also make me gained my critical thinking. But there are the times when I can’t apply my higher order thinking skill because my mind has been block with something else. And the most importantly, blogging has improved my technology skills as I have learnt lots about technology became more technology literate.
4. How?
I think maybe by sharing opinions and thoughts. In addition, we reflection on the topic learnt need to considered many aspects and this will enhance or promote critical thinking. There is lots of writing and this will practice language skills in writing.
5. What they like about the course
This course has make me became a technology literate person as everything is done using technology. By hook or by crook, I must equip myself with the knowledge and skills of technology as we all know that technology has been integrated in the teaching and learning process nowadays. This course is really prepared me to become a good teacher in future.
6. What they do not like about the course
There are too many things should be learnt and completed at the same time. Actually, I am not a techno savvy person and I need to learn more after new skills such as photo editing, video editing have been introduced. But the time constraint sometimes made me stress in learning this course. But, this is the real live as a student.
7. What they have learnt from the course
Technology skills such as photo editing, video editing, audio editing and creating e-book and also create a video. I can create my own personal video too in order to practice the knowledge gained. Besides, there are many soft wares have been introduced and I can explored it.
8. What they do not expect but have learnt from the course
I thought this course will teach us on how to use and develop materials in many ways both traditionally and using technology. But, actually it is really integrate the use of technology in producing the materials or teaching aids. However, it is really helpful for me as I gained lots of knowledge and skills in this course.
9. What they expect but have not learnt from the course
I expected that we can learn how to develop non-technology materials too such as create a story book, puppets, and etc. but, as I said earlier, all the materials that has been developed mostly is using technology.
10. If they can change anything about the course, state what it is and explain.
If I can change anything about this course, firstly I want to minimize the amount of tasks that has been given to us. There are many tasks needs to do plus with the assignments that are quite though for me. In addition, I want the rubrics for the assignments or tasks is given in written form too because it is more rigid and I can referred it to fulfil the requirements of the assignments or tasks. I also not satisfied with the requirements to send the tasks and tutorials to different place such as emails, Adec and 4shared. This is because it is really make me confused. I also felt that it is such as useless and waste of time. Maybe next time, just send all the task in one place and hopefully this will make student clearer and not confused.
To put in a nutshell, actually this is not the end of the journey. It is just an experienced that i get along the journey. The journey is very long to be reach. However, I am satisfied with the overall performance in his course. I have gained so many things from this course. Lots of thanks to the lecturer because you has given me lots of inputs and useful knowledge in preparing me to be a better teacher in future. I also want to say thank you to all of my friends for helping me in the process of learning. Without your cooperation, I might have trouble to go through it. Thank you… love you all…

test.. the end of the journey?
Test….
I thought I will end this journey with flying colours. But, this test has make me upset because I can’t perform well in the test. I don’t know how to answer as there are no clues or hints are given before the test. I just write what I know and what I can remember. I did not satisfy with my answers. If I could do it again, I will try my best. But, it is just a hope.
I have done my best by putting all the efforts while completing the test. Now, what is the best thing to do is to pray so that the lecturer can accept my answers. So, I will pass this course successfully.
I don’t want to think about it anymore. It is just one of the memory for this course. What can I said about the test.. It is tough and I am really upset because I can't do well in the test. i just hope i will pass this paper.

software for ELT
There are various types of soft wares that can be used to teach young learners in the classroom. Some examples of the soft wares are games, publisher and CRAYON. All these kind of soft wares are very benefit as all of them can be used in the teaching and learning process for primary pupils.
Games is one of the popular soft ware that always been used in conducting the lesson. There are many online games that can be getting in the internet. All these games are very good because young learners will be more attracted to learn using the games. They might not acquire the knowledge on the spot but they have the capacity to acquire knowledge indirectly. When they have fun engaging in the games, they also can absorb some useful input. That is also called a learning process.
Honestly, I am not familiar with other soft ware but there are many resources to get them. For example when madam Foziah brought some soft wares into the class, all of us get excited to try it. Unfortunately, most of the soft wares cannot be used. Some of them are very attractive and interesting and I am sure it also can attract pupils to try it too.

Asignment 3
Assignment 3 is just like what I imagine before this. It is the toughest assignment and there are lots of thinking and efforts need to be put in order to completed this assignment. The four skills task before this is really helpful for me in order to complete this assignment. It can be guidance for me as I can refer to it on how to do all the four skills to be taught in the classroom.
The requirement of this task is to design a lesson plan for each skill with the materials and also tutorials. There are many things to be done because this is an individual work. Everything must be done on my own.
I have got the topic “Beautiful Malaysia” which is to be taught for year 3 pupils. First thing I do is bought the text book in order to make a reference on what should I put in order to teach the content of the topic. Then, I apply all the skills that have been learnt before this to search, download, create, and develop the resources and materials for the whole lesson.
For listening skill, I have used recording tape as a teaching aid. For speaking skill I have used video as a material to be presented in the classroom. Video can offer many ideas to be a teaching aid in order to provoke pupils to talk in the class. Then, I created an e-book in order to teach pupils reading skill. ...Authentic Materials...
With the integration of advance technology in this new modern era, is it authentic materials still play important role in the teaching and learning process nowadays? Erm... It will be a big question to me.. But, in my opinion, authentic materials still can be used as teaching aids for teaching and learning process. the reason is because sometime we cannot rely on the technology for all the time. There are some time that pupils also want to enjoy the lesson with the used of authentic materials.

At last, the day is coming...Today is the due date for Asignment 2... Assessing and manipulating video for ESL classroom. Firstly, of course i felt very relieved because my partner, Hafizah, and I managed to do this assignment. What a wonderful moments for today.. :)
However, I can't rest yet..WHY? Because there are other asignments plus various tasks that need to be completed. Sometime, I felt that I'm the busiest student in the world...hahaha..just thinking... Hope i'm wrong..
Ihere is also briefing about asignment 3.. It sounds that there are lots of works and efforts need to be put in completing this new asignment.. Hope I could manage myself to do it..
Ermm... For this week, we have been exposed to new skill which is how to produce name cards, brochures, posters, cover book and newsletter by using Microsoft Office Publisher. What a great technology. It is really helpful in making our teaching materials too.
This week, the task is divided into 2 categories which are pairwork and groupwork. So, we need to complete all of them and there are some presentation next week..Be prepared everyone...

Be ReaLisTic!!!
For this week, our group got this topic, "Be Realistic" to be presented. This is one of the characteristics that a teacher should consider while implementing the teaching and learning. Wshould be as real as we are in order to make our teaching and learning process success. We should take into many considerations about pupils in order to make our learning objective(s) will be achieved. So, be realistic and i'm sure a teacher will succeed to achieve their aims in their teaching profession.
"Be realistic" means that we need to think as real as we can while teaching the children. A teacher needs to think about the situation of the pupils, their condition and also their emotions. We can't proceed our teaching if their emotion is not in good mood. Otherwise, it will make us, teacher, became more frustrated because our learning objective(s) could not be achieved.
There are 2 terms that play important role in order to be REALISTIC which are "STIR" and "SETTLE". 'Stir' can be the activities to make pupils mixed around and interact with others while 'settle' can be activities to make them settle down or calm down. So both activities should be balance in order to suit the pupils' mood and condition. As a teacher, we need to be more sensitive towards our pupils. We need to be flexible and creative in the teaching and learning process. Lesson plan is only a guideline to us but if a teacher see or realize that the pupils are not interested with what have been doing in the classroom, we need to change th activities. This is what we called being realistic by being flexible during the teaching and learning process. Change the activity and we also can make the activity simpler, use the same material in different way. Maybe they will interested as they are familiar with the teaching aids.

What are the four skills?.
Four skills that we need to teach pupils in primary school are listening, speaking, reading and writing.
This week we got new task which is to design a material to be teach all the 4 skills in the classroom. This is the group work but each person need to choose one skill and then develop the material based on the same topic that have been chosen within the group mmbers.

New Task.. E-BOOK
What a busy world. That's a univercity life in reality!!! E-book... What is e-book? For me e-book is digital media book. We can use e-book in teaching and learning process just by using the technology. What a modern world nowadays...

Actually to do this e-book is not hard as I think but there are some technical problems that we have encountered. However, we managed to solve it and now we had done this task.
In my point of view, this e-book is suitable to be use as one of the teaching aids for teaching and learning process. In my opinion, it is really helpful as we can managed our time by using the e-book. Thus, our lesson probably can run smoothly.

>>> Moments of Love <<<
"Moments of Love".... That is the title of our video. This video is done by Mark and I. Firstly, we had done the story board to make sure the plot of our video run smoothly. Then, we find suitable resources to be used such as pictures and song. Then, we started to work on this video individually as we are on our holiday.
The making of this video is quite tough as there are no internet connection at my home. It was very terrible. I just think if I could back to my rent house, it is easier for me to work. but I can't. No ticket and I also need to look after my father who is sick. He cannot walk at that time so it is possible for me to leave my family. That is one of the part as we can call moments of love too right? Ok, back to the video making process. So, I need to go to cybercafe to do the work. I am very lucky to have Mark as my partner because he is really understand my situasion and do lots of works for our asignment. He done the video as we already have the pictures. Then, while making the video, we will message to each other to ensure the video is in god progress.
The most stressful time is when to upload the video at www.youtube.com. Actually Mark do this but I really pity him because he said that he tried almost two days but the video still can't be uploaded. Then after tried, tried and tried, he manged to upload it. What a hardest time in our life.. I also heard that most of my friends also having the same problem. But then, they also sucessfully upload it.
This is what we call teachnology. It gives benefit for us but sometime it will trouble us. Sometime we cannot control the system and what can we do... Just try and try and try again.
Lets talk about "Moments of Love". Basically, this video is about the moments of love with our family, friends, colleague, lovers and husband and wife. There are many happy moments in our life. However, there are also sad events happened to us. So, our family or the people which are close to us will comfort us. That is why "Moments of Love" is created in order to make us think remember all the bittersweets in our lives.

> Video Editing <
In my opinion, this is the toughest task that we need to do. This task required all of us to work in group of 5 with difference races. We need to edit the video from the 8tv programme which is "So You Think You Can Dance". It is really takes time to download all the episode that we got. we need to extract all the video and do it according to the task requirement. It is really test our patience but luckily we managed to do it. However, the problems occured when we are not successful to upload our hard work in Adec. We have tried so many times for the whole night but we could not managed to upload it. I'm very upset with technlogy. Sometimes, it can ruin our work and efforts.
We felt very frustrated with that because our work can't be uploaded and sent to Mdm. We hope that Mdm will accept that in CD but it is just a hope. We have done our work but the problems is it can't be uploaded. Maybe the system is slow but I think this is not our fault but the system's fault. Do you think so? We all realized that technology will make our work became easier but when the system got problems, it will ruin our work too. That is what I thought about it but i don't know whether it is true or not.
We have done our work and now it is depends on the lecture to comment about it.
We felt very frustrated with that because our work can't be uploaded and sent to Mdm. We hope that Mdm will accept that in CD but it is just a hope. Audio Editing
A song also can be edited until it became just like what we wish. Do you believed that? Of course we need to believe because in this new modern era there are many softwares that can be used to edit the song. One example is Audacity software. We can edit the song by cutting some of the noise, make the sound quality better and this will make the the song more appropriate to be used in activities in the classroom.
For this task, I have used a song entitle I Fell In Love With The Deejay by Chenelle to be edited using the software that I mentioned above. I just do some simple editing such as change the tempo, the picth and also some other elements in the song. Those changes are the basic things that we can edit for the song. There are many things that you can do. What you need to do is take some times to explore the softwares. As a result, you had managed to produced good edited song.
This skill is also useful as we all know that children loves to listen to the music. They will acquired the knowledge better if the teacher bring something new to the classroom as a tool of learning because children have capacity to learn indirectly. So, why not, as a teacher we can apply this knowledge and make the learning process enjoyable but meaningful. We can choose a suitable song to be used as teaching aids and audio editing skill will really helpful perhaps.
Photo Editing
Pictures are one of the source of resources to be used in class during the teaching and learning process. "A picture worth a thousand words". That is why we, as a teacher, need to use big, colourful and interesting pictures in order to attract students' attention in the classroom. And the topic for this week is really useful for a teacher to be acquired in order to produce suitable pictures as learning material. We can edit the pictures, crop them, make it colourful and so many things can be done.
Adobe Photoshop, FotoFx, Picasa tutorials- All these are software for photo editing and there are many other than that. I've heard about adobe photoshop but I did not bother about the usage and the importance of it. But for this task, I used this software to edit my picture. Wau, it is not easy as I think. It needs patience and concentration in completing my task. However, I managed to complete my work but it is not quite creative and beautiful but I appreciate my own work. Hehe.. This is the first time I edit my picture...
Photo editing.. Now I realized that this skill is very useful to me in order to prepare a good and suitable pictures to be used in the classroom especially for young children who need big and colourful pictures. Young learners are concrete learners. That is why they need a good picture in order to comprehend their understanding in the teaching and learning process. So, as a teacher,we should make used of all these kind of softwares to edit the pictures to be the most suitable as a good teaching aids. This skill is really help me in order to edit my own pictures. In addition, hopefully I can apply this skill in producing and developing teachng aids for my own classroom in future.

the journey begins…
For this week, we have been introduced to the internet skills such as downloading, encoding, storing, burning and searching. Those skills are the basic skills that we need to know in order to search, develop and produce good materials in future.
In order to practice all these skills, we have given a task. Firstly we are asked to find our own groups with multiracial members. I was lucky to have Hafizah, Hedayah, Shahrul and Loi as my group members. Sharing is caring. I hope all of us can work together and share ideas for the better result.
Actually it is quite tough to do this task as we need to find resources in order to teach year five pupils. We sit together and brainstorm some ideas but then it is difficult to make decision on the topic to be chosen. “There are many people choose animals to be taught”. “Why not we choose topic clothes to teach them”. “I like the topic on transportations”. “ food also can be an interesting topic to teach”. But at last we choose this topic. “PEOPLE”… still thinking on the ideas to teach this topic…
We decided to search and download the video from www.youtube.com. There are many useful videos that we can download but of course we, as a teacher, need to consider so many things before we can use it in the teaching and learning in the classroom. However, we had managed to practice those skills.
For this week, we have been introduced to the internet skills such as downloading, encoding, storing, burning and searching. Those skills are the basic skills that we need to know in order to search, develop and produce good materials in future.

Using and Developing Resources- The Beginning
First day of this course… I thought this course is very easy but then after Ma’am Foziah explained about it, I realized that this course is actually very CHALLENGING. There are many works that teacher needs to do especially to prepare MATERIALS or TEACHING AIDS to teach in the classroom. That is the purpose of this course which is to ensure that we can develop variety of resources using technology. At this point, once again technology becomes an important part of our lives. We should know to handle of these stuffs. I admit that I am not good in this area but I will learn it.
Resources- There are many teaching aids that can be use by the teacher to teach such as pictures, video clips, songs, story books and many more. Teaching materials can be in two forms which are using technology or non-technology materials. Both forms of these materials has their own pros and cons. For example, by using tehnology, the materials are easy to handle and will save the time but at the same time it will waste our time if there are any problems occur with the technology, it will demotivated pupils in learning process. I can't denied that traditional materials such as story book and puppets still have value in deliverig the content of the lesson. sometimes, this kind of materials will be more enjoyable as pupils can engaged with them in the teaching and learning process. However, all these kinds of resources can attract pupils' attention and promotes motivation for pupils to learn and participate along the lesson conducted in the class.
I also improved my skill to create my own blog. Blog! Before this, I don’t know anything about it. But now I have my own blog. This is also a good starting in my learning. Hope we can share ideas, opinion and comments via blogging…
